Baptism is the joyful first step Jesus asks of a new follower — going under the water and rising again, a picture of dying to the old life and rising into the new. You do not do it alone, and you do not earn it. When you are ready, CBA Orlando will walk every step with you.
Why baptism
What baptism means.
Baptism does not save you — Jesus does. Baptism announces, publicly and joyfully, that you belong to Him. It is the wedding ring, not the marriage; the celebration of a decision already made in the heart.
- It follows Jesus’ own example and His command to His followers.
- It pictures dying to the old life and rising into a new one in Christ.
- It is a public "yes" — a declaration before God, the church, and the world.
- It welcomes you, fully, into the family of God and the church family.
How it works
Four simple, unhurried steps.
There is no pressure and no cost — only people glad to walk with you. Here is the path, at your pace.
Study together
We will study the Bible’s beautiful teachings with you — clearly, honestly, at your pace — so your decision is your own and well-rooted.
Choose your date
When you are ready, we set a date together. Invite your family and friends; this is a day to celebrate.
Go to the waters
You step into the water and rise into new life, surrounded by a church family rejoicing with you. Heaven rejoices too.
