Worship

How to follow worship and sermons online

Sometimes you cannot be in the room — you are traveling, recovering, caring for someone, new to Orlando, or simply not ready to walk in yet. Worshiping online is a real, valued way to be with us. This guide helps you join with less fuss and more peace, and reminds you that a screen is a doorway to people, never a replacement for them.

Who this is for

Following along online is for anyone who genuinely cannot gather in person right now, including:

  • Members who are sick, recovering, or homebound, and caregivers who cannot leave the house.
  • People traveling for work or visiting family in another country or time zone.
  • Newcomers to Central Florida who want to feel the heart of the church before their first visit.
  • Family and friends abroad — many of us have loved ones in Brazil and elsewhere who want to worship together across the distance.

As a Brazilian Seventh-day Adventist community, our main worship is on Sabbath (Saturday). If you cannot be present, joining online keeps the day set apart with us.

How to join

You do not need anything special — a phone, tablet, or computer is enough.

  • Reach out for the current live link and details; Sabbath worship can shift with seasons and special programs.
  • Open the link a few minutes early so any sign-in or buffering is settled before worship begins.
  • If the live stream has trouble, refresh once, then try a different browser or your phone — connections sometimes just need a fresh start.
  • Sermons and past services are usually available to watch later, so a missed Sabbath is not a missed message.

If you are unsure where the link is or run into trouble, contact us and someone will gladly walk you through it.

Make the time set apart, not just background noise

It is easy to leave a stream playing while life keeps moving around it. A little preparation helps it become real worship:

  • Pick a quiet spot, silence other notifications, and sit as you would in the sanctuary.
  • Open your Bible — paper or app — and follow the readings along with the speaker.
  • Sing the hymns out loud at home; worship is yours to offer, not only to watch.
  • Keep a notebook nearby for one verse or thought you want to carry into the week.

Worship as a family or with others

If there are children or others at home, invite them in rather than working around them. Let little ones see you praying and singing. Pause the sermon to talk about one idea together. Even two or three gathered around a screen is community, and it teaches the next generation that the Sabbath belongs to the whole household.

Stay connected to people, not only a screen

Online worship is a bridge, not a destination. The life of the church happens in real relationships, so let the screen lead you toward them:

  • Send a quick message to someone after the service — share what spoke to you.
  • Ask to be added to a prayer list, or send a request you would like the church to carry.
  • Join a small group or a midweek call when you can, even from a distance.
  • When your situation allows, let us help you plan a first or returning visit in person.
