Visiting

Saturday program for visitors

If you are thinking about visiting us on a Saturday, here is exactly what your morning could look like. CBA Orlando is a Brazilian Seventh-day Adventist community, so our main day of worship is the Sabbath — Saturday — and we would love for you to come and see for yourself, with no pressure at all.

Why we gather on Saturday

As Seventh-day Adventists, we set Saturday apart as the Sabbath — a day to rest from the week and turn our attention to God together. You do not need to share our beliefs or know anything about the Sabbath to come. You are simply welcome to join us, observe, and ask whatever questions you have.

For many Brazilian families in Orlando, Sabbath morning is also a chance to slow down, see familiar faces, and start the weekend with peace instead of rush.

How the morning is usually shaped

A typical Sabbath morning has two main parts, one after the other:

  • Sabbath School — the first part, where people gather in smaller groups by age to study a short Bible lesson and talk it through together. It is conversational and unhurried.
  • Worship service — the main gathering, with singing, prayer, and a message from the Bible.

There is usually a break between the two, with coffee and a moment to greet people. You are welcome to come for both parts or just one — whatever feels comfortable for a first visit.

When to arrive and what to wear

Most services are in Portuguese, with a warm, family atmosphere. A few practical notes:

  • Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to park, find a seat, and let someone point you in the right direction.
  • There is no dress code. Many people dress nicely out of respect, but come as you are — what matters is that you came.
  • If you would rather not sing, speak, or be singled out, that is completely fine. You can simply sit and take it in.

For the time and place, message us before you come and we will share the current details.

Coming with children

Children are genuinely welcome — a little noise never bothers us. During Sabbath School there are age-appropriate groups for kids, where they hear Bible stories at their own level. If your child is shy or it is their first time, you are welcome to stay with them.

If you are coming with little ones, tell us ahead of time and someone will be ready to help your family settle in.

Your first visit, made easy

You will not be put on the spot. We will not ask you to give, sign anything, or explain why you came. If you would like, let us know you are visiting and someone will simply meet you at the door, save you a seat, and answer your questions.

Come once, see how it feels, and decide nothing more than that. The door is open.

Plan your Saturday visit

Tell us you are coming and we will be ready to welcome you — no pressure, no expectations, just a friendly face at the door.
