A Brazilian Adventist community in Central Florida
Moving to a new country is hard, and church can be one of the first places that feels like home again. CBA Orlando is a Brazilian Seventh-day Adventist community in the Orlando area — a place to worship in your own language, keep the Sabbath together, and find people who understand what it is to start over far from home.
Who we are
CBA Orlando is a Brazilian Seventh-day Adventist congregation in Central Florida. Most of our worship and conversation happens in Portuguese, the way many of us pray and sing most naturally. We hold to the historic Adventist faith — Jesus at the center, the Bible as our guide, and the seventh-day Sabbath, Saturday, set apart for rest and worship.
You do not have to be Adventist, or Brazilian, or sure of anything to come. Visitors of every background are genuinely welcome.
Sabbath, the way it felt back home
For many Brazilian families, Saturday at church is one of the anchors of the week. Here you will find that same rhythm: Sabbath School to study the Bible in small groups, the worship service, and unhurried time together afterward.
- Hymns and praise in Portuguese — the songs many of us grew up with.
- Bible study you can actually take part in, not just listen to.
- Time to linger, share food, and be known.
A soft landing for new arrivals
Starting life in a new country brings a long list of practical worries — documents, schools, work, driving, finding a doctor. We are a church, not an agency, so we will not pretend to give you legal or immigration advice. What we can do is point you to qualified, trustworthy help, and walk alongside you while you find your footing.
Just as important, we can offer the things that are easy to lose in a move: a community that prays with you, people who speak your language, and a place where your family is not anonymous.
Room for the whole family
Children and teens belong here. We have ministry for the kids, a place for young people to make real friends, and a community where your children can hear about Jesus in Portuguese while they also grow up bilingual. Parents often tell us the biggest relief is simply not raising their family in faith alone.
Your first visit is simple
There is nothing to prepare and nothing to sign. Come as you are.
- Arrive a few minutes early so someone can welcome you and your family.
- Let us know if you are bringing children, and we will help them settle in.
- Stay for conversation afterward if you can — that is where friendships usually begin.
Come and see for yourself
The easiest next step is to visit one Sabbath. We would love to meet you and your family, and there is no pressure of any kind.
